An Ordinance of the City of Redlands,, Rete-M- ining That Certain
Lands Des oribed, Herein Are Necessary and Proper To BE Adquired and Held by
Said City for the Uses and Purposes of a Public ParX. '(
The Board of Trustees of the City of Redlands, do resolve and ordain
as fol-lows:-
Section l.- The Board of Trustees of said city does hereby
determine and declare that the public interests and necessities of seLd
city and of the inhabitants thez-odf demand the acquisition of the lands
hereinafter described as a municipal improver,,ient fox, the usesand purposez
of a public park in said city and it does hereby determine and deolEire
that said lands are necessary,-
proper and convenient to be acquired and
held for the uses and puxposesof said public par k$ and to carry out the
object4, ixrpose7,and powers of said city and that it is the intention of
said city to so acquire and hold said landatto wit :-
All that certain property situated in the City of Redlands,Saga
Bernardino County, California, described as followsto wit :-
Lots Number 6, 71 81 9, 23, 24, and 25 of Block "E" of -the orange
Grove Addition to the Town of Redlands according to a map thereof of
record in the office of the County Recorder of the said County, In
Book 4, of inaps, page 38.
section2.- That #he object and purpose of acquiring said
lands is to furnish the same to said city and the inhabitants thereof for
the uses and purposezof a publio park, and that the acq7aisltion of euoh
lands for the uses and Purposes aforesaid is necessary and convenient to
ca rt' out the objectstPurposes and powers of said city; and that the cost
thereof will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income
and revenue of said city and it Is necessary to incur an indebtedness
therefor in excess of the money in the treasury of said city applicable
there d, and In excess of any money which will come into said treasury
Section 3.– This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
