HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_1712_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 1712 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING A SECTION OF THE REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE AND ORDINANCE NO. 1342 REGULATING SIGNS AND ADVERTISING STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : SECTION ONE: Section 84511 of Article 845 of Chapter 84 of the Redlands Ordinance Code is hereby amended by the addition of paragraphs 2b (7) and 2c (6) , which are identical and read as follows : § 84511. Sign Area Exception for Large Buildings: For a building over two stories or 35 feet in height one overall building identification sign may be approved by the Planning Commission for each street frontage. Said sign shall be placed parallel to the vertical sur- face of the top floor of the building below the roof line. The sign shall contain the name of the building and principal permitted use only. The allowable sign area shall not exceed 2. 5% of the vertical surface area of the side of the building upon which the sign is to be placed. SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as provided by law. SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts , a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Redlands.
