HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2277_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2277 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTER 5.12 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ALARM SYSTEM BUSINESSES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS: Section I.: Section 5.12.275 relating to appeals of false alarm reports is hereby added to the Redlands Municipal Code to read as follows: "Section 5.12.275 Appeal of False Alarm Reports. A. Any person receiving a bill for police services provided pursuant to this Chapter may, within fifteen(15) days after the bill was sent, file a written request with the City Clerk appealing the police services fee imposed. Any appeal regarding the billing shall be heard by a commanding officer of the Police Department as designated by the Chief of Police. B. Upon a request for an appeal being filed, the City shall withhold collection of the bill until conclusion of the appeal. C. If, after a hearing before a commanding officer, the appeal is denied in part or in full, all amounts due to the City shall be paid within thirty (30) days." Section 2. The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts,a newspaper of general circulation within the City, and thereafter, this ordinance shall take effect in accordance with lawn.
