HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_1528_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 1528 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1418 WHICH ESTABLISHED RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR EMERGENCY AMBULANCE FRANCHISES The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as fol- lows: SECTION 1. Under the provisions of Section 10 (b) of Ordi- nance No. 1418, Section 20 is added to Ordinance No. 1418 to read as follows : SECTION 20 . Inspection of Property and Records (a) At all reasonable times, the franchisee shall permit any duly authorized representative of the city to examine all property of the franchisee related to the franchise, whether located within or without the city, and to examine any and all records kept or maintained by the franchisee or under his control which deal with the operations, affairs, transactions or property of the franchisee with respect to his franchise. (b) The franchisee shall prepare and furnish to the City Manager, annually, by April 1, following the close of the calendar year, a Statement of Profit and Loss and a Balance Sheet for its operations originating within the city limits of Redlands . Such statement will be certified by a Certified Public Accountant. (c) In the event the franchisee requests the city, under Section 7 (c) of Ordinance No. 1418, for a rate increase, such request will be fully supported by justi- fication, together with the financial statement listed in paragraph (b) above. Such statement will cover the 12 month period immediately preceding the date of the request. SECTION 2. This ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure for the preservation of the public health and safety in accordance with the provisions of the Government Code of the State of California. SECTION 3 . The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts.
