AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1000 OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS,
CALIFORNIA I
AMENDMENT NO. 12
The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as follows:
SECTION ONE: All the provisions of Zoning Ordinance No. 1000 and the
Government Code relating to the amending of the Zoning
Ordinance having been complied with, Sections 13.10 (a) 4
14.10 (a) and 15.10 al - USES PERMITTED shall be amended
to read as follows:
(a) That stables and corrals for horses be kept not less
than 40 feet from dwellings on the property and not
less than 40 feet from side property lines and streets,
and not less than 100 feet from all other structures
used or intended for human occupancy, and not less
than 100 feet from a future residential building site,
and not less than 100 feet from a public park or
schools and, further
1. Evergreen planting screens, or other protective
devices, may be required on property lines when
minimum distances are used and, further
2. No grazing shall be permitted in any required yard
and, further
3. Lot area for I horse shall not be less than
25,000 sq. ft. , with 15,000 sq. ft. additional
lot area for each additional horse, and, further
4- No more than 3 horses may be kept on any lot or
parcelv subject to the housing provisions of
paragraph (a) above.
SECTION TWO: That Section 16.10 (c) and 17.10 (d) - USES PERMITTED -
of Zoning Ordinance No. 1.000 shall be amended by adding
the following subsections:
Keeping of horses permitted, provided:
1. That stables and corrals for horses be kept not less
than 50 feet from all property lines, not less than
100 feet from all structures used or intended for hu-
man occupancy, and not less than 100 feet from a
public park or school.

2. That evergreen planting screens, or other protective
devices, shall be provided on property lines.
3. That no grazing shall be permitted in any required
yard.
4. That not more than 1 horse may be kept for each acre
of lot area, with a total of 3 horses permitted on a
lot or parcel subject to the housing provisions of
paragraph 1 above.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be designated as Amendment No. 12
to Zoning Ordinance No. 1000.
SECTION POUR: This Ordinance shall be in force and take effect as
provided by law.
SECTION FIVE: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and cause the same to be published once in
the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed and published in this city.
