HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2200_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2200 AN ORDINANCE OF T1-IE ClT`Y OI=RE;DLANDS AMENDING TETE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO ANIMALS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does ordain as follows: SECTION ONE: That Section 12.40.110 of the Redlands Municipal Code be amended as follows: "Section 12.40.110 Animals prohibited - Exception. No person shall cause, permit, or allow any animal owned or possessed by him, or any animal in his care,custody or control to be present at any parade or public assembly except. A. Equine or other animals which have been specially trained and are being used to enhance security; B. Dogs which have been specially trained and are being used by blind or disabled persons to aid and guide them in their movements; C. Caged animals which are kept at a place designated for such purpose; D. In connection with activities authorized in the issuance of a permit per Sections 12.40.060 and 12.40.070." SECTION TWO: That Section 12.40.120 of the Redlands Municipal Code be amended as follows: "Section .12.40.120 Duty to care for animals. A. It is the mandatory duty of all persons owning, possessing, in control of, or otherwise responsible for any animal at a parade or public assembly to promptly collect,pick up, and remove all fecal matter left behind by said animal in or upon any public property, including but not limited to public streets, highways,rights-of-way, or parks of the City." SECTION THREE: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as provided by law.
