AN ORDINrANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY,
DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 12" TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS:
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of April , 1962,. the City Council of the
City of Redlands did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2202 giving notice
of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of
Redlands, said territory being therein designated as "Annexation: No. 12
said resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to
be annexed; and
WHEREAS , said Resolution No. 2202 did contain a notice of the day,
hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear pro-
tests made by any person owning property within the territory proposed
to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than twenty nor
more than sixty days from the date of passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS , on the 15th day of May, 1962, at the hour of 7:00 p.m. ,
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Redlands, County
of San Bernardino, State of California, said time and place being the
day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 2202 for hearing of
protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and
pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine
that protests had not been made by the owners of one--half of the value
of the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized
assessment roll , nor by public and private owners of one—half of the
value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said
legislative body; and
WHEREAS , said territory is contiguous to the City of Redlands, and
is uninhabited territory in the County of San Bernardino;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of Redlands does hereby
approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City
of Redlands, and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be and
is hereby annexed to the City of Redlands.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Redlands is
herein approved, is all that territory situated in the County of San
Bernardino, Mate of California, more particularly described as follows:
—Annexation No. 12—
All that portion of Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 71 , Rancho San Bernardino
in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, as shown on Record
of Survey recorded in Book 17 of Maps , Page 41 thereof, Records of said
County and described as follows:
Commencing at the northeast corner of Block 71 , Rancho San
Bernardino; thence north 890 251 1911 west 51.00 feet to the
True Point of Beginning; thence north 890 251 19" west 2593.29
feet; thence south 00 351 11" west 41 .25 feet; thence north
890 251 19" west 2603.06 feet; thence south 0.0 361 1111 west
1159.61 feet; thence north 620 581 16" east 331.44 feet; thence
south 870 311 44" east 250.00 feet; thence north 800 581 1611
east 300.00 feet; thence south 820 011 44" east 140.00 feet;
thence north 890 581 16" east 240.00 feet; thence north 660
581 16" east 300.00 feet; thence south 750 311 4411 east 200.00

The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and
shall cause the same to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts,
the newspaper hereby designated for that purpose.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force after its passage
as provided by law.
