HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_1211_CCv0001.pdf r ORDINANCE NO. 1211 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE AtfNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNIN14:ABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED AS 11A01 ATION DISTRICT NO 1311 TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLA 0S; s IR-a S, on the 5th day of March, 1963, the City Council of the City of Redlands did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2262 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Redlands, said territory being therein designated as "Annexation No. 13112 said resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed.; and Vr- . FAS, said Resolution No. 2262 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of, the City would hear protests made by any person owning property within the territory proposed to be annexed., the time of said hearing being not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date of passage of said Resolution; and I&EREAS, on the 16th day of April, 1963, at the hour of 7:00 p.m., in the Couneil Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of Ca.Lifornia, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 2262 for hearing of protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did dete.rmIne that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public and private owners of one-half of the value cf the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Redlands, and is uninha- bited territory in the County of San Bernardino; NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of Redlands does hereby approve the the annexation of the territory herinafter described to the City of Redlands, and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be an is hereby annexed to the City of RediandF. That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Redlands is herein app-roved,, is all that territory situated in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, mo-.a particularly described as follows: - Annexation No. 13 - Beginning at the northeasterly corner of the southwest quarter of the southwest, quarter, Section 21,, Township 1 South, Range 3 West., San Ber- na.rdin-) Base and Mar,-than being a point in the west boundary of the City of Redlands thence scratherly along said west boundaryto an intersection with the centerline of Colton A,,renue as said avenue is shown on the Map of Barton Ranch renorded in Book 6 of Maps., Page 19 thereof, Records of San Ber- nardino- County; `.-.hence -westerly along the centerline of said Colton Avenue to an. inter- idth the centerline of Kansa*; Street as said street is shown on the Map of Barton Ranch; thence southerly along the centerline of Kansas Street- to an intersection with the northeasterly right-of-way line of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company, a right-lf-way 100 feet- in width; then ye southeasterly along said right-of-way line to an intersection with the centerline of Tennessee Street as said street is shown on the Map of Barton Ranch; -11-hence southerly along the centerline of Tennessee Street to a point which is 86.41 feet southerly Qf the so-atherly line of Redlands Boraleva-rd, formerly State Route No. 26; thence at right angles to said center'Une westerly to the westerly line of Tennessee Street; then north -L.71 wes4, 350 feet; thence southerly 100 feet parallel with the westerly line of Tennessee Street; thence north 710,471 west to a point in the westeyly :Lire of the southeast qaarter of Block 21C., Barton Ranch; thens,-e southlerly along said westerly line to an intersecZ.iorn -%.,ith the cen- 4-ero�'-linp Park Avenue as said avenue is shown on tile., Map of Barton Ranch; .1 -1 thence westerly along the centerline of Park Avenue to an intersection with the centerline of Kansas Street; thence northerly along the centerline of Kansas Street to an intersection - L the no.-t he lixie of the southwest quarter., Block 20, Barton Ranch; . thence easte::,:_,y along said northerly line to the northeasterly corner cf the southwest quarlter,, Bloak 20., Barton Ranch; thence northerly along the easterly line of the northwest quarter, Block 202 Barton Ranch to the center.-line of superseded State Route No. 26 re- 15-inqaished to the Co-wnty of San Bernardino as re in Book 5 of State I U Highway Maps, Pages 40 and 50 thereof. Records of San Bernardino Colwnty; then;enorthwesterly and -westerly along said centerline of superseded State Route No. 26 to an intersection with the soi-i.t-herly prolongation of westerly line of Lot 9, Block 1; Henry L. Williams Tract., recorded in Book U (if Maps., Page 17 thereof, Records of San Bernardino County; thence northerly along the westerly line of Lot 9. Lot 8 and Lot I, No. -1.211 Page, Twfj Block 1. Henry L. lid lliams Tract and prolongations thereof to an inter- section with the westerly prolongation of the northerly line of the south- west quarter of the southmust quarter, Section 21, TIS, QW, S.B.B. & M.; thence easterly along said northerly line and the westerly prolongation thereof to the point of beginning. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause same to be published once in the Redlands MUZ Facts, the newspaper hereby desig- nated for that purpose.
