HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_1219_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NOo 1212 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE A14NEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 15f1 TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS: WHEREAS, on the 21st day of May, 1963, the City Council of the City of Redlands did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2282 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Redlands, said territory being therein designated as "Annexation No. 15", said resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2282 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made by any person owning property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than twenty nor more than, sixty days from the date of passage of said Resolution; and WHEPMAS, on the 2nd day of July, 1963, at the hour of 7:00 P.M- in the Council Chambers in the City Mali of the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 2282 for hearing of protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by the ovrners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public and private owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Redlands, and is uninha- bited territory in the County of San Bernardino; NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of Redlands does hereby approve the annexation of the territory herinafter described to the City of Redlands, and does Y P hereby further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Redlands. That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Redlands is herein approved, is all that territory situated in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, more particularly described as follows: Annexation No. 15 Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of 100-foot wide Brookside Avenue; as shown on the map of West Redlands recorded in Book 9 of Maps; Page 22 thereof, records of San Bernardino County; and the westerly line of the City of Redlands; thence southerly along the Redlands City Limit line to a point which is 395 feet measured at a right andle, northerly of the north line of 100-foot wide Olive Avenue as shorn on the map of West Redlands; thence westerly parallel with and 395 feet northerly of the north line of Olive Avenue to an intersection with the centerline of 80-foot wide Bellevue Avenue, formerly Railroad. Avenue, as shown on the map of West Redlands; thence northerly along the center- line of Bellevue Avenue to an intersection with the centerline of 80-foot wide Barton Road, formerly Alder Avenue, as shown on the map of West Redlands; thence easterly along the centerline of Barton Road to an intersection with the centerline of Brookside Avenue; thence easterly along the centerline of Brookside Avenue to the point of beginning. (42.79 acres). The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause same to be published once in the Redlands 2 i .Y 'acts the newspaper hereby designated for that purpose.
