AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION
DISTRICT NO. 25" TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
WHEREAS , on the 6th of July, 1965 , the City Council of the
City of Redlands did pass and adopt Resolution No . 2465 giving notice of
the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Red-
lands , said territory being therein designated as "Annexation No . 25 . "
said resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to
be annexed; and
WHEREAS , said Resolution No . 2465 did contain a notice of the
day, hour and place when and -where the Council of the City would hear
protests made by any person owning property within the territory pro-
posed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than twenty
nor more than sixty days from the date of passage of said Resolution;
and
WHEREAS , on the 17th day of August , 1965 , at the hour of 7 : 00
P.M. in the Council Chambers in the Safety Building of the City of Red-
lands , County of San Bernardino , State of California, said time and
place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 2465
for hearing of protests to the said annexation, the said City Council
did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and
did resolve and determine that protests had not been made by the owners
of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as
shown by the last equalized assessment roll , nor by public and private
owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed
as determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS , said territory is contiguous to the City of Red-
lands , and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Bernardino ;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of Red-
lands does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter
described to the City of Redlands , and does hereby further ordain that
the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Redlands.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of
Redlands is herein approved, is all that territory situated in the
County of San Bernardino , State of California, more particularly de-
scribed as follows :
ANNEXATION No. 25
All that portion of Barton Ranch located in the
County of San Bernardino and recorded in Book 6 , page
19 thereof, records of said county, State of Califor-
nia , and described in whole as follows :
Beginning at the centerline intersection of Ten-
nessee Street and Park Avenue , thence westerly along
the centerline of Park Avenue to its intersection
with the northerly prolongation of the west line of
the east one-half Block 21 .
Thence southerly along the west line of the east
one-half of Block 21 to the intersection of the ,
centerline of Citrus Avenue with the said west line
of the east one-half of said Block 21 .
Thence easterly along the centerline of Citrus
Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of
Tennessee Street .
Thence northerly along the centerline of Tennessee
Street to its intersection with the centerline of
Park Avenue and the point of beginning.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordin-
ance and shall cause same to be published once in the Redlands Daily
Facts , the newspaper hereby designated for that purpose.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force after its
passage as provided by law.

Redlands at a-regular meeting thereof held on the 7th

ABSENT: Mayor Burroughs , Councilman Cummings
