HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_1492_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO, 1492 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO, 46" TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS: WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of May, 1972, the City Council of the City of Redlands did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2943 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Redlands, said territory being therein designated as "Annexation No. 46", said resolution describing the boundary of the territory to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2943 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when. and where the Council of the City would hear pro- tests made by any person owning property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date of the passing of said resolution, and WHEREAS, on the 6th day of June, 1972, at the hour of 7:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers in the Safety Building of the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 2943 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did resolve and determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public and private own- ers of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Redlands, and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Bernardino; NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of Redlands does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Redlands, does hereby further ordain that the said ter- ritory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Redlands, and in com- pliance with the IA- FC resolution. of approval, the territory is detached from CSA 38, CSA 70, and Improvement Zone A of CSA 70, without split of assets or liabilities; That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Redlands is herein approved, is all that territory situated in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, more particularly des- cribed as follows: ANNEXATION NO. 46 All of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 21 T.1 S . , R. 3 W. , S .B.B. & M. and a Portion of Alabama Street as per Henry L. Williams Tract, recorded in Book 11 of Maps, Page 17, in the office of the County Recorder, County of San Bernardino, State of California, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4, Section 21, T. 1 S . , R. 3 W. , S .B.B . & M. , also being a point on the present boundary of the City of Redlands ; thence Westerly along the South line of said Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 1340 feet more or less to the centerline of improvement of Alabama Street as shown on Parcel Map No. 181, recorded in Book 2 of Parcel Maps, Page 50, records of San Bernardino County, State of California; thence Northerly along said centerline of improvement of Alabama Street 1320 feet more or less to an intersection with the centerline of Lugonia Avenue, said centerline of Lugonia Avenue also being the North line of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest, 1/4, Section 21, T. 1 S . , R. 3 W. , S .B.B. & M. ; thence Easterly along said. North line of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4, Section 21, T. 1 S . , R. 3 W. , S .B.B. & M. , 1340 feet more or less to the East line of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4, Section 21, T. I S . , R. 3 W. , SaB.B . & M. , said East line of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4, Section 21, T. 1 S . , R. 3 W. , S.B.B . & M. , also being the existing boundary of the City of Redlands; thence Southerly along said East line of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4, Section 21, T. I S . , R. 3 W. , SmB.B. & M. , 1320 feet more or less to the point of bdginning. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, the newspaper hereby designated for that purpose.
