to provide sufficient water pressure and volume for fire

may any building permit be issued for any addition to a
building which will increase the area of the building by
more than 25% of its existing area, nor shall any permit
be issued for the construction of a building , structure ,
or dwelling unless provisions are made for the construction
and installation of such water lines and fire hydrants as
are determined by the Department of Public Works to be
necessary to provide necessary fire flow in accordance
with City standards .
SECTION THREE : Upon written recommendation of
the City Fire Chief, the City Engineer may in his discretion
authorize the construction and installation of water lines
