As Ordinance of the City of Redlands Amending Ordinance do .
671 , thereof, and Repealing Ordinances 593 and 610 .
The board of Trustees of the City of Redlands do ordain as
f 0 llows :
Section 1 . Subdivision 3 of Ordinance No . 631 of the City of Redlands
is hereby amended to read as follows :
3 . for every person eng,ed in the business of bill posting
or advertising sign paintinS upon bill boards or advertising be means
of posting bill or advertising matter upon any structure, or distribut-
ing advertising samples , hand bills or printed advertisements of any
kind , 075 .00 per year, providinU `.hat nothing herein contained shall Its
deemed as applying to owners of real estate or their, agents in adver-
tising their property for sale or lease, nor to merchants doing busi-
ness in said City at a fixed plaze of businesr advertising such
business , or special sales connected therewith, nor to any church, schocol
or to a religious or benevolent organization advertising plays , meet-
ings or entertainments given by or to be held under their control, or
jana6ement ,
Section 2.
Pubdivision 37 of said ordinance is hereby amended to real
an follows :
37 . or every person operating or carrying on the business
of driving any automobile, truck, or other motor propelled vehicle,
except a motor cycle, for the transportation or carriaLe of baggage,
expresz , freight , household Goods , merchandise, materialsor passengers
for hire , not having a fixed or permanent place of busineso in said
City established and maintained therein for a period of not less than
six months prior to the issuance of such license , for the first vehicle
$15,00 per quarter, and for each trailor 010 .00 per quarter; and for
each such person, either with or without a fixed place of business ,
using the streets of said city as a stand, but having; been engaged in
such business for a period in Excess of six months prior to the issu-
ance of such license, for the first vehicle 125 .00 per quarter, for
each adjitional vehicle 410 .00 per quarter, and for each trailor,
15 .00 per quarter; and for each such person not using the streets of
said city for a stand , and raving been engaged in such business for
a period of more than six months prior to the issuance of such license,
and not otherwise provided for, for the first vehicle 010 .00 for six
months , for each additional vehicle Q8.00 for six months and for eaoll
trailor 16 .00 for six months .
Section 3, Ordinancesho . 593 and 615 of said city are
hereby repealed .
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from End after
its passage as required by law.
