HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_1757_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 1757 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING THAT NO CITY BUSINESS LICENSE MAY BE ISSUED TO A CONTRACTOR IN A CLASSIFICATION IN WHICH A STATE CONTRACTOR' S LICENSE IS REQUIRED UNLESS THE BUSINESS LICENSE APPLICANT CAN FURNISH PROOF THAT HE HAS AN APPROPRIATE VALID CURRENT STATE CONTRACTOR' S LICENSE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does ordain as follows : SECTION ONE: That the Redlands Ordinance Code be amended by the addition of Section 2136 to Chapter 21, Article 213, to read as follows: Sec. 2136. CONTRACTOR' S LICENSE. No license shall be issued to do business as a contractor in a classifica- tion which requires licenses from the California Contractor' s State License Board until proof of a valid State Contractor' s License is provided to the City License Collector. SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as provided by law. SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation pr_ 4ted and published in the City of Redlands.
