AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE
REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING THAT NO CITY
BUSINESS LICENSE MAY BE ISSUED TO A CONTRACTOR IN A CLASSIFICATION IN
WHICH A STATE CONTRACTOR' S LICENSE IS REQUIRED UNLESS THE BUSINESS
LICENSE APPLICANT CAN FURNISH PROOF THAT HE HAS AN APPROPRIATE VALID
CURRENT STATE CONTRACTOR' S LICENSE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does ordain as follows :
SECTION ONE: That the Redlands Ordinance Code be amended by the
addition of Section 2136 to Chapter 21, Article 213, to read as follows:
Sec. 2136. CONTRACTOR' S LICENSE. No license shall
be issued to do business as a contractor in a classifica-
tion which requires licenses from the California Contractor' s
State License Board until proof of a valid State Contractor' s
License is provided to the City License Collector.
SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as
provided by law.
SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Redlands Daily
Facts, a newspaper of general circulation pr_ 4ted and published in the
City of Redlands.
