HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_1063_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 1063 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING SECTIONS OF CHAPTERS 21 AND 22 OF THE REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE., REGARDING BUSINESS LICENSES AND BUSINESS LICENSE RATES. Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Redlands that the fol- lowing sections of Chapters 21 and 22 of the Redlands Ordinance Code en- acted the 7th day of .lune, 1955, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2102.4. GROSS RECEIPTS DEFINED. As used in Chapters 21 and 22, gross receipts means all busi- ness receipts from whatever source derived, excepting only city and state sales taxes and Federal retail excise taxes, including abut not limited tot the following items: (ai Cash Sales (f) Donations (bi Credit Sales (g) Interest ci Contract Sales (h) Fees and other (d) Rents charges (el Rebates (ii Commissions S e c t i o n 2242. CONSTRUCTION: BUILDERS, CONTRACTORS, LAND DEVELOPERS AND SELF-EMPLOYED CONSTRUCTION WORKERS. Every builder, constructor, contractor, sub- contractor, land developer or self- employed person conducting, manag- ing or carrying on the business of con- struction work in this City shall pay a license tax or taxes as specified in the following subsections, solely for raising revenue for municipal purposes and not in any way intended as regu- lation. Section 2282. GAME MACHINES. For every legal game machine, oper- ated within this City, shall pay a Ii- cense fee of $10.00 per month. (8671 Section 2286. COIN-OPERATED AMUSEMENT MACHINES. For every coin-operated amusement machine and riding device within this city, shall pay a license fee of $5.00 payable -ems-annually. Section 2287. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect in 30 days and prior to fifteen days from the passage hereof shall be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Redlands, California.
