HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_1364_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 1364 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING SECTION NINE OF ORDINANCE NO. 1349° THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : SECTION ONE: That Section Nine of Ordinance No. 1349 shall be amended to read: _ - --- Additional Levy SECTION NINE: Rate o increase or Ad . ..T of License Tax. The initial rate of increase or additional levy of the business license tax on all businesses con- ducting their activities in the "Area" , which is in addition to the ordinary license tax imposed upon such businesses by the City of Redlands is hereby fixed and established at the rates imposed in the following schedule: CLASS I BUSINESSES: (Includes but not limited to) Accountants Insurance Agencies Architects Investment Management Attorneys-at-law Newspapers Bank & Loan Companies Optometrists Brokers, Stacks & Bonds Physicians & Surgeons Chiropodists Printers Chiropractors Psychologists Cleaners _. Laundries Real Estate Cocktail Bars Taverns Service Stations Contractors Stenographers Dentists Telegraph Office Engineers Theater - Playhouse Fruit Grower Office Utilities - Telephone Garages Automobile Dealers Van & Storage Hotels - Motels All retail fixed fee business license classifications Businesses in this class shall be taxed a minimum amount of $36000 annually, and, in addition, the amounts charged for validated parking hours in excess of said $36.00. CLASS_11_BUSINESSES . All Retail Businesses not listed in Class 1, above. Businesses in this class shall be taxed an amount equal to the City Business License Tax, and, in addition, any amount of validated parking hours used in excess of such tax. SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as provided by law® SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper designated for that purpose.
