An ordinance of the City of Redlands calling a sp"otal
election to be held on June ,19o5, for tvn20 e purpose of sub-
mitting to the qualified voters of said oity the proposition
to incur a b6nded indebtedness in the sum of $ /QjZ QgiZ to
pay one- of the cost of certain street work therein.
Whereas , the legislative branch of said City of Redlands ,
at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held on May 1t,, 19059
by a resolution duly adopted by a vote of more than two-thirds
of all its members, and approved lbrj the executive of said city ,
determired and declared that the public interest and necessity
of said city and of the inhabitants thereof demands the aocTai_
sitlon and. construction by said lity of certain municipal im-

tion and hereinafter described in section one
therefore,, the Board of Trustees of the City of R011-
Lqnds do ordain as follows:
section 1. A special election is bereby called, to be
held in said City on June 2EL19o.5, to m1,1xiiit ,, and at which
election shall be submitted to the qualified. voters of said
city , to be voted on thereat , the following proposition, to wit :
The proposition to incur a bonrled indebtedness of said
city of # 10&1, aVQ. Cj7 , principal sum, with interest thereon
it the rate of per cent per arrum, interest payable
semi-annually, both principal and interr�st pr1rqble in gold
coin of the United States of Anerica for the object and pur-

in each and every half year , one of tech sor-i—annualty pay—
ments in each year being at the* date of the payment of the
annual installment of the Iorincipal of such indebtedness as
aforesaid, and, provided further that said indebtedness shall
be evidenood bar the proper coupons attached to such bonds , a
se.fiarate coupon being attached to each bond for eaol.,j oemt_
annual payment of the interest to become due on ssucq bond.
That the total irdebte(Iness kuthorized to be created at such
election shall be represented by bonds payable in manner
aforesaid , and that said bans sRll be issued in such 1,enorr-
Ination or denominations as the Board of Trustees of said
City e'hRll allthori4l,#e and that said Bonds shall be Xnoin as
"Municipal Improvement Bonds. "
Section 5. The manner of holding said special election
and of voting thereat for and against incurfing said indebted—
noes, all be as provided in this ordinance, and that in all
paTt±mxlare not recited Iterein, such election shall be held as
provided by law for holding municipal elections in such muni—
cipality, and that in particulars not recited herein and not
provided by law for holding such nranicipal elections,, the
general election laws of the State of California, so far as
the same nay be applicable,, shall apply. Said election shall
be conducted by the Board of Election,, consisting of t in—
spectors , two judges , two clerks and two ballot clerks whose
dutwes and powers shall be the same as those of Board of
Election and of such election officers, respectively, under
the law governing imnicipal elections, and in particulars not,
covered by such. law, then under the said general election laws
pf said State. If any of the members of said Board 'herein—
after named fail to attend at the opening of the polls on the
morning of such election, the electors of the precinct present
at that hour may supply the Place of any such absent member by
appcirtVentj as provided by said general election laws. At
said 31)ociil Election the polls shall be opened at 6 o 'clock
on the morning of the day of such election and waetr be kept
open until 5 o 'clock in the afternoon of the same day when
the polls shall be closed.
That for the Purpose of said Special Election the said
city shall be and the same is hereby districted, and subdivided
into two Municipal election precincts to be known respectively.

and polling places of said Municipal Election Precincts and the
following name4 persons are hereby appointed officers of elec-
tion for such precincts respectively, to wit:
Municipal Election Precinct Number One.
MunIcipal Election Precinct Number One shall consist of all
that part of said City of Redlands lying north of the center
lines of Rast and West Citrus Avenues and Brookside Avenues.

� Redlands Lily Review, a newspaper published in said City at
least six days a week, and said City Clerk shall cause this t
ordinance to be so published and no other notice of such elec-
tion need be given. This ordinance shall take effect imme-
diately.
