AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DLANDS ADDING AND
AMENDING CHAPTERS 2.17 AND 2.60, RESPECTIVELY, OF THE
REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO UNCLAIMED PROPERTY
REGULATIONS AND THE PUBLIC DISCLOSURE OF CITY COUNCIL
CLOSED SESSION DECISIONS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 2.60 of the Redlands Municipal Code, entitled"Unclaimed
Property,"is here-by re-numbered as Chapter 2.17 of the Redlands Municipal Code.
Section 2. A new Chapter 2.60 is hereby added to the Redlands Municipal Code,
entitled"Public Disclosure of or City Council Closed Session Decisions,"which shall read as
follows:
"CHAPTER 2.60
PUBLIC DISCLOSURE OF CLOSED SESSION DECISIONS
2.60.010 Disclosure, Generally
2.60.020 Access to Documents
2.60.030 Real Property Transactions and Settlement of Litigation
2.60.010 Disclosure, Generally. The disclosure of any action taken by the City Council in
closed session,and the vote or abstention of each Council member thereon, shall be publically
reported in accordance with the provisions of the Ralph M. Brown Act,Government Code
section 54950 et seq.,as amended from time to time.
2.60.020 Access to Documents. Any written materials finally approved by the City Council as
part of a closed session action shall be made available to any person who has made a written
request for the same within 24 hours of the posting of the agenda relating to such closed session
action,or who has made a standing request for all such documentation as part of a request for
notice of meetings pursuant to Government Code 54954.1 or 54956,if the requester is present at
the time the closed session ends. Further,such written materials shall be made available to the
public generally on the next City business day following the meeting in which the materials were
approved in accordance within the provisions of the Ralph M. Brown Act, Government Code
section 54950 et seq.,as amended from time to time.
2.60.030 Real Property Transactions and Settlement of Litigation. Notwithstanding the
provisions of any other section of this Chapter,if the City Council takes action in closed session
relating to a real property transaction or the settlement of litigation,and final approval of such
real property transaction rests with some other party,or in the case of litigation,with another

party or with the court, then as soon as the matter becomes final the City Council shall publically
disclose the same,and the vote or abstention of each Council member thereon,at the City
Council's next regularly scheduled meeting."
Section 3. Certification. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
ordinance and cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a
newspaper of general circulation printed and published in this City.
