HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_1745_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 1745 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLr?NDS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1000 BY ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 153 THERETO ESTABLISHING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT REQUIREMENT FOR CERTAIN COMMERCIAL AMUSEMENT BUSINESSES IN THE C-3 AND C-4 ZONES THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does ordain: SECTION ONE: That ordinance No. 1000 of the City of Redlands, Section 25. 20, Paragraph 6 , be amended to read: 6 . Entertainment establishments, including : Social halls : The serving of alcoholic beverages subject to approval of a Conditional Use Permit if within 300 feet of a residential zone. Theaters . SECTION TWO: That Ordinance No. 1000 of the City of Redlands, Section 25. 20, Subsection D, be amended to read: D. USES PERMITTED BY CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT The following uses may be permitted subject to approval of a Conditional Use Permit: Auto repair establishments . No open service bays shall face a public street, or they shall be screened. (Ord . 1545, 2/18/75) Bus terminals and similar transit facilities Commercial Amusement Establishments such as skating rinks, bowling lanes , amusement machine arcades, pool halls , dance halls , cocktail lounges and beer bars Drive-in stores , such as cleaner, liquor, milk and food Drive-thru sales and/or service (Ord. 1543 , 11/5/74) Frozen food locker Hospitals and sanitariums The manufacturing, processing or treatment of pro- ducts which are clearly incidental to retail business conducted on the premises, provided a . That no more than twenty-:five (25) percent of the total floor area is used for such manufacturing or processing . b. That not more than five (5) persons are employed in such manufacturing or processing. C. That such operations are not objectionable to adjoining properties due to noise, odor, dust, smoke, vibration, or other similar causes . Mechanical or self-service auto wash Mortuaries or funeral homes Motels Open air sales , display and storage, including: New or used auto, motorcycle and boat sales Tool and equipment sales or rental Swimming pools, commercial Miniature crolf and similar commercial amusement establishments Uses listed in Section 52. 00 SECTION THREE: That Ordinance No . 1000 of the City of Redlands, Section 26, 20, Paragraph 6, be deleted. SECTION FOUR: That Ordinance No . 1000 of the City of Redlands, Section 26 . 20, Subsection D, be amended to read: D. USES PERMITTED BY CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT The following uses may be permitted subject to approval of a Conditional Use Permit: Ambulance service Animal hospitals Sus terminals and similar transit facilities Commercial Amusement Establishments such as skating rinks, bowling lanes, amusement machine arcades , pool halls , dance halls, cocktail lounges and beer bars ,. SECTION SIX: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in this city .
