HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2203_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2203 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTER 2.22 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT ADVISORY BOARD BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows: Section 1, Section 2.22.020 of the Redlands Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "The Business Improvement District Advisory Board shall consist of nine members appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council from businesses located within the parking and business improvement area. Each member shall serve for a staggered four-year term and until his or her successor is appointed and qualified. Terms shall coincide with the July 1 through June 30 fiscal year. No person shall serve more than two consecutive terms. Vacancies on the Board shall be filled by appointment by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council for the unexpired portion of the term. The members of the Board shall serve without compensation The Council may remove any member of the Board at any time, without cause, by a majority vote. Five members shall constitute a quorum." Seclion 2. Section 2.22.030 of the Redlands Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "The Board shall have the power and duty to act in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to the administration, operation, development, improvement and maintenance of the parking and business improvement area. The Board shall also administer the daily affairs of the area in accordance with Chapter 18.216 of the Redlands Municipal Code." S"tion 3. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as provided by law. Secti©n 4 The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Redlands.
