AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTER 2.22 OF THE
REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING'I'O THE DOWNTOWN REDLANDS BUSINESS
ASSOCIATION ADVISORY BOARD.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Titlp The title of Chapter 2.22 of the Redlands Municipal Code is hereby mended to read
as follows:
"DOWNTOWN REDLANDS BUSINESS ASSOCIATION ADVISORY BOARD"
Section L. Section 2.22 of the Redlands Municipal Code relating to the Downtown Redlands
Business Association is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 2.22.010 Existence
There is an Advisory Board for the Downtown Redlands Business Association.
Section 2.22.020 Membership
The Board shall consist of nine members appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City
Council. A minimum of eight members shall be business and/or property owners within boundaries
of the Downtown Redlands Business Association; one member may be a Councilperson. Each
member shall serve for a staggered four-year term and until his or her successor is appointed and
qualified. Terms shall coincide with the July 1 st through June 30 fiscal year. No person shall serve
more than two consecutive terms. Vacancies on the Board shall be filled by appointment by the
Mayor with the approval of the City Council for the unexpired portion of the term. The members
of the Board shall serve without compensation. The Council may remove any member of the Board
at any time, without cause, by a majority vote. Five members shall constitute a quorum.
Section 2.22.030 Powers and duties
The Board shall have all power and duty to act in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all
matters pertaining to the administration,operation,development, improvement and maintenance of
the Downtown Redlands Business Association district. The Board shall also administer the daily
affairs of the area in accordance with Chapter 15.216 of the Redlands Municipal Code."
Section.2. The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the
Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the City and thereafter, this
ordinance shall take effect as provided by law.
