AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING THE REDLANDS
MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE PUBLIC
WORKS COMMISSION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1 . That Section 2.38.020 of the Redlands Municipal
Code be amended as follows:
"2 .38.020 Membership
The Public Works Commission shall consist of nine
members appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the
City Council . Two of the members shall have a
substantial solid waste background. Effective June 2,
1988, each member shall serve for a staggered four-year
term and until his or her successor is appointed and
qualified. No person shall serve more than two
consecutive terms. Vacancies on the Commission shall be
filled by appointment by the Mayor with the approval of
the City Council for the unexpired portion of the term.
The members of the Commission shall serve without
compensation and shall be residents of the City and
neither officers nor employees thereof. The Council may
remove any member of the Commission at any time, without
cause, by a majority vote. Five members of the
Commission shall constitute a quorum. "
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect
as provided by law.
SECTION 3 . The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be
published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general
circulation printed and published in the City of Redlands.

certify that the foregoing ordinance was duly adopted by the City
Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of
October, 1990, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Beswick, Cunningham, Larson, Milson;
Mayor DeMirjyn
