AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE INTERIM ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1562 TO
PROHIBIT CONDOMINIUM CONVERSIONS
The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as fol-
lows :
SECTION ONE: Ordinance No. 1562 shall be amended to pro-
vide for appropriate guidelines and controls applicable to condominium
conversions (hereinafter called C.C. ' s) .
SECTION TWO: The City of Redlands shall not accept or
process any applications for condominium conversions filed or received
before or after the effective date of this ordinance while it is in
effect.
SECTION THREE: During the period in which this interim
ordinance is in effect, the Planning Department, Planning Commission,
and City Council are considering and studying the matter of condominium
conversions in conjunction with the updating of the housing element of
the Redlands ' General Plan with particular reference to such regulations
and controls, including the application of Building Code requirements,
as may be necessary to protect the general health, safety, and welfare
of the citizens of the City of Redlands . It is necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety that
this ordinance tape effect immediately, pursuant to the provisions of
Government Code Section 65858 , as an urgency ordinance.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Redlands, California, held on the 21st
day of November, 1978 , by the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Councilmembers DeMirjyn, Elliott, Riordan; Mayor Martinez
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Knudsen
