AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS CANCELING THE DEVELOPMENT
AGREEMENT BETWEEN BARTON DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, THE GLORIOUS
REDLAND INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP AND THE CITY OF REDLANDS
WHEREAS, the City received an application to cancel the City's Development Agreement
with Barton Development Company and The Glorious Redland Investment Partnership consisting
of 306 acres of land bordered by Mountain View Avenue, Lugonia Avenue, and San Bernardino
Avenue in the City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on December 9, 2003
recommending that the City Council cancel the Development Agreement in that all provisions of the
Government Code relating to the cancellation of development agreement have been complied with;
and
WHEREAS,cancellation of this Development Agreement is in the best interest of the public
health, safety and general welfare and will promote and encourage long term development of this
land.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Development Agreement between Barton Development Company,The Glorious
Redland Investment Partnership and the City of Redlands is hereby canceled.
Section 2. Ordinance No. 2170 is hereby rescinded.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as provided by law.
Section 4. The City Cleric shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it or
a summary of it,to be published once in the Redlands DailyFacts,a newspaper ofgeneral circulation
printed and published in the City of Redlands.
