HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2390_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2390 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTERS 18.12, 18.192 AND 18.196 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO TIME LIMITS FOR DEVELOPMENT PERMITS The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as follows: Section 1. Section 18.12.130 of the Redlands Municipal Code is hereby deleted in its entirety and rewritten to read as follows: "18.12.130 Site Plan Approval - Expiration. Unless otherwise specified by the Planning Commission or City Council,a site plan approval shall expire two years from the date of its approval unless the holder of the site plan approval obtains a building permit or, in those instances where a building permit is not required a certificate of occupancy for the site plan approval, within such two year period. The City Council may, upon written request for a time extension by the holder of the site plan approval,prior to expiration of the appeal, grant a one-year extension of time provided; however, that the total number of extensions for a site plan approval shalt not exceed three." Section 2. Section 18.192.130A of the Redlands Municipal Code is hereby deleted in its entirety and rewritten to read as follows: "18.192.130 Conditional Use Permit - Expiration Except for a conditional use permit issued for a Planned Residential Development and,unless otherwise specified by the Planning Commission or City Council, a conditional use permit shall expire two years from the date of its approval unless the holder of the permit obtains a building permit or, in those instances where no building permit is required a certificate of occupancy for the use, within such two year period. The City Council may, upon submittal of a written application for a time extension, by the holder of the permit and prior to the expiration of the permit, grant a one-year extension of time provided;however,that the total number of extensions for a conditional use permit shall not exceed three." Section 3. Section 18.196.120 of the Redlands Municipal Code is hereby deleted in its entirety and rewritten to read as follows: "18.196.120 Variance - Expiration. A variance shall expire on the expiration date, if any, of the project for which the variance was granted.
