AN ORDINANCE AM—INDING ORDINANCE NO. 875, ADOPM MAY 15TH, 1947,
BY Anl\TDING SUBSECTION (b) OF SECTION 3 THEREOF.
The City Council of the City of Redlands do ordain as follows:
Section One. That Ordinance No. 875 , entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF
THE CITY OF REDLANDS CREATING, ESTABLISHING AND DIVIDING SAID CITY
INTO CERTAIN ZONES OR DISTRICTS WITHIN WHICH THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION,
ALTERATION OR I+UILMMMANCE OF CERTAIN BUILDINGS, OR THE CARRYING ON
CERTAIN TRADES OR CALLINGS THEREIN IS REGULATED AND PROVIDING FOR SET
BACK LIMES THEREIN, AND OTHER REGULATIONS FOR TI-M OCCUPANCY AND USE OF
PROPERTY IN SAID CITY AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NO. 69S3 702,713,716,717,
727,754, 800 808, 813 AND 865, "adopted May 15th, 1947, and in particular
Subsection 1b) of Section 3, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 3 .
(b) Zones B2, or Light Industry for Residential Districts.
No building, structure, improvement or industry shall be erected,
constructed, established, maintained, altered or enlarged in a Zone B2
which is designed, arranged or intended to be occupied or used for any
purpose other than a use permitted in Zones C and E, F and F1, or office
or studio, or for light industry in the manufacture of small articles
and objects which in their maintenance and operation are not obnoxious
or offensive by reason of the emission of odor, gas, dust, smoke, soot
or noise.
Provided, however, that' all forms of light industry, or businesses
seeking to be so classified, must first secure a permit to operate in
said Zone by complying with the procedure for Petitions,, Notices and
Hearings as set forth in Section 14 of within ordinance.
Provided. howeve4 ,"tl�4t nothing in this section shall be construed
to authorize in Zones*. or Zones B2, any business, institution,
establishment or use whi'Zis by this ordinance specifically restricted
to Zone A.
. Sedtion Two. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty
days from and after its passage and approval.
Section Three . The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Redlands
Daily Facts, a daily newspaper hereby designated for that purpGs-e
