AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING
CHAPTER 3 . 16 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO DEVELOPMENT PROCESSING FEES
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands recently completed the
annexation of certain territory located in the San Timeto Canyon
area of the County of San Bernardino (hereinafter "Annexation No.
72") ; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has determined that, in the
event a development project that was pending before the County is
submitted for processing to the City of Redlands, certain
information and data previously developed and provided to the
County for the development project may be of benefit to the
Redlands ' Planning and Community Development Department when
undertaking its review of that development project; and
WHEREAS , this City Council has further determined that to
the extent any previously developed information and data is used by
the Redlands ' Planning and Community Development Department in
connection with its review of a development project which was
pending before the County, that the fees paid to the County for the
development of such information and data may be credited towards
the fees required by the City for its processing of the
development;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1 . Chapter 3 . 16 of the Redlands Municipal Code
relating to the City' s recovery of costs reasonably borne from fees
and charges levied therefor in providing City services is hereby
amended by the addition of 3 . 16 . 045 as follows:
113 . 16 . 045 Partial Waiver of Community Development
Services Fees .
A. Notwithstanding any other provision of this
Chapter, upon the request for review of a
development project which was pending before the
County of San Bernardino and subsequently required
to be processed by the City because of annexation
of lands which are the subject of the development
project, the Community Development Director may
recommend to the City Council that the Council
waive all or a portion of the fees required to be
paid to the City for the processing of such
development project.
B. Any recommendation for waiver of fees shall be based upon
and related to the Community Development Director ' s
determination that information and data previously
developed for the project and submitted to the County may
be effectively used by the City in connection with its
review of the proposed development project.
C. The Community Development Director shall be under no
obligation to make a recommendation to the City Council
for the waiver of fees unless a written request for a

waiver is submitted to the Community Development Director
prior to the City's commencement of review of a
development project. "
Section 2 . The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the
City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and
shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once the
Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the
City, and thereafter, this ordinance shall take effect in
accordance with law.
