AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING
CHAPTERS 3 . 52 AND 3 . 62 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICI-
PAL CODE RELATING TO WATER AND SEWER SERVICE
FEES AND CHARGES.
WHEREAS, based upon testimony presented to the City
Council of the City of Redlands by City staff, this City Council
has determined that it is necessary to increase the City's rates
for water and sewer service in order to cover the reasonable costs
incurred by the City for providing such service; and
WHEREAS, the California Health and Safety Code Section
5471 requires that any increase in water and sewer rates be made by
ordinance adopted by a two-thirds vote of the City Council;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE•
Section 3 . 52 . 040 of the Redlands Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
