HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2214_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2214 AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING SECTION 3.16.040 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO FEE AND SERVICE CHARGES WHEREAS,parents of children enrolled in the city's various child care programs have convinced this City Council to continue the Recreation sponsored child-care programs and also urged the Council to make the program self-sufficient, and WHEREAS,adequate and economical child care programs are vital to the health,welfare and safety of the children of working parents of this city; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adjust rates to reflect 100 percent cost recovery with an 80 percent cost recovery for qualified low-income persons if funds can be obtained. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does ordain: SECTION 1: Table 3.16.040 of the Redlands Municipal Code which sets forth the schedule of fees and service charges of the City of Redlands for recovering costs reasonably home for regulations, products and services provided is amended as follows: REV. NO REGULATION, PRODUCT OR PERCENTAGE OF COSTS REVIEW SCHEDULE SERVICE REASONABLY BORNE TO BE RECOVERED L 01-029 Daycare Registrations 100% Annual I- Daycare Registrations for Low-Income Persons 80% Annual SECTION 2: This ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, welfare and safety and shall be adopted as an urgency measure based upon the facts declared in the recitals hereto. In addition, this ordinance must be adopted by at least a four-fifths vote of the Council and shall take effect immediately upon adoption. SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it, or a summary of it, to be published in the Redlands Daily Facts a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City.
