HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2279_CCv0001.pdf f ORDINANCE NO. 2279 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTER 18.08 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF FLAG LOTS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS: Section One: Section 18.08.252, 18.08.253 and 18.08.254 relating to flag lots are hereby added to the Redlands Municipal Code to read as follows: "18.08.252 FLAG LOT "Flag Lot" means a lot with a narrow strip of land (the staff) which extends from the body of the lot to the right-of-way in order to meet minimum street frontage requirements. 18.08.253 FLAG LOT,BODY "Body of a Flag Lot"means the main area of a lot which would be landlocked without the staff extension to the right-of-way. The body portion of any lot begins at the point the lot meets the minimum width of the respective zone. 18.08.254 FLAG LOT, STAFF "Staff of a Flag Lot" means the portion of the lot extending from the right-of-way to the point where the lot meets the minimum width of the respective zone." Section Two: Sections 18.08.437 and 18.08.438 relating to minimum lot sizes and frontage are hereby added to the Redlands Municipal Code to read as follows: "18.08.437 MINIMUM FRONTAGE "Minimum Frontage" means the required frontage of a lot which must be located on dedicated right-of-way in order to obtain a building permit. The minimum frontage on right-of-way in any zone is thirty (30) feet. 18.08.438 MINIMUM LOT SIZE "Minimum Lot Size" means the minimum lot area square footage as required by the respective zoning district. The staff portion of the Iot is not included in the calculation of the minimum lot size." DJM487LE 1 Section Three: The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts,a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City; and thereafter, this ordinance shall take effect in accordance with law.
