AN ORDINANCE�OF :TFjE CITY OF REDLANDS
The Board of 'Trt'st"' of the City of Redlands (ho ordain as follows:
Section 1. That for the Period commencing April 15 , 1909 and
ending April 14th, 1910, the Maximum rate of c0m,PO'asatiOn
any Person or corporation may charge, collect ems'receive for
furnishing gas to the City Of Redlands, or to the inhabitants
thereof for any and all illu"llinating, heating , or c 00king pur-
poses , is hereby fixed at X1-00 for each one thousand cubic
feet of gas, and in this proportion for each fractional part
thereof ; provided that the minimum price for such furnishing
Of gels for any Month shall not exceed fifty cents.
Section 2.- It shall be a violation of the provision of
this Ordinance , if the rate for gas charged or collected, or
received for illuminating or heating or cooking purposes, as
aforesaid , be in excess of the rate or price above specified ,
and the Person or corporation violating any of the provisions
Of this Ordinance is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon con*
viction thereof shall be fined in a sum not exceeding �300,
or by imprisonment in the city or county Jail for not exceed-
ing, ninety days, or by both such fine and ir'Prisoriment.
Section 3: - This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after April 15th, 1909.
