AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTER 3.66 OF THE
REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL FEES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands ("this City Council") is empowered
by Health and Safety Code Section 5471 to charge for the provision of solid waste disposal services;
and
WHEREAS,based upon information and data presented to it by City staff,this City Council
has determined that the City should establish a rate for the City's Household Hazardous Waste
disposal services in accordance with the cost of providing such service; and
WHEREAS,this City Council finds that the rate established herein for the City's Household
Hazardous Waste disposal fee does not exceed the reasonable cost of providing the service described
herein; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance has been adopted by a two-thirds majority vote of the City
Council pursuant to California Health and Safety Code Section 5471;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain:
Section 1. Section 3.66.040 of the Redlands Municipal Code is hereby amended by the
addition of subsection D entitled"Miscellaneous Residential Solid Waste Fees" to read as follows:
"3.66.040 Amount of Charges
The amount of Solid Waste rates shall be as follows:
RESIDENTIAL MONTHLY RATES
A. Single-family Residential
D. Miscellaneous Residential Solid Waste Fees
Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Fee/Residential Unit $0 . 35
Section 2. Ordinance No. 2314 is hereby repealed in its entirety.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as provided by law.

Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it, or
a summary of it, to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general
circulation printed and published in the City of Redlands.
