OF THE CI'IY OF REDL.:"NDS, LEVYING A SALES AND USE
TAX COISMICING ON THE FIRST DAY OF XULY, 1947,
PROVIDING FOR FI-FIE "COLLECTION AND PAYING OF SUCH
TAX, AND 1--'RESCRIBING P=Mt-LTIES FOR THE VIOLATIONS
OF THE PROVISIONS HERZOFTI, ADOPTED MAY 26TH, 1947.
The City Council of the City of Redlands does
ordain as follows:
Section One. That Section 4 of said Ordinance
Ko. 878 entitled "An Ordinance of the City of Redlands'
Levying a Sales and Use Tax Commencing oil the First Day
of XulYo 1947, Providing for the Collection and Paying
of Such Tax, and Frescribing Penalties for the Violations
of the Provisions Hereof", Is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Section 4. All of the provisions that may be legally
included and not in conflict with the terms hereof the
"Sales and Use Tax Law as the same has been amended and
will become effective on October 1 1949, of the State of
California, except Sections Nos. 66519 6052s 6066, 6067,
W68, 6069, 6070and7057, applicable to sales of property
at retail, are hereby adopted and made a part of this
Ordinance as though fully set forth herein. All provisions
of said act providing for the performance of official
action on the part of the State Board of Equalization shall
be performed by the City Oduneilzofc-&the City of Redlands.
All license taxes hereby levied shall become due and payable
to the Tk4gsurer of the City of Redlands and any civil suit
for the collection thereof shall be filed in any court of
the City of Redlands, or the County of San Bernardino having
appropriate jurisdiction thereof.
Section Two. This Ordinance shall take effect on October
1, 1949.
Section Three. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be
published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of
general circulation, published in the City of Redlands, -_
California.
