AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11 OF THE
REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE RELATING TO CITY
COUNCIL MEETINGS AND THE SELECTION AND
TERMS OF OFFICE OF THE MAYOR AND MAYOR
PRO TEMPORE (RECODIFICATION PROJECT)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION l: Section 11101 of the Redlands Ordinance
Code is hereby amended to read as follows :
"11101. TIME AND PLACE OF MEET-
INGS. The time for holding the regular
meetings of the Council shall be the
first and third Tuesday of each month at
3 : 00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of
Safety Hall, 212 Brookside Avenue,
Redlands, California. If any such regu-
lar meeting falls on a legal holiday, the
meeting shall be held on the next busi-
ness day. "
SECTION 2: Section 11102 is hereby added to the
Redlands Ordinance Code to read as follows :
"11102 . SELECTION OF MAYOR AND
MAYOR PRO TEMPORE; TERMS OF OFFICE. The
City Council shall meet after each
general municipal election and choose one
of its number as mayor and one of its
number as mayor pro tempore. The terms
of office of the mayor and mayor pro
tempore shall be two years. The mayor
and mayor pro tempore shall hold office
from the date of their selection and
until their successors are chosen. "
SECTION 3 . This Ordinance shall be in force and
take effect as provided by law.
SECTION 4 . The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance,
and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and shall cause it or a summary of it to be
published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of
general circulation printed and published in this City.
