AN INTERIM ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
1421 AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1454 TO PROHIBIT THE ESTABLISHMENT
AND OPERATION OF MOBILE HOME PARKS
The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as fol-
lows :
1) Ordinance No. 1421 as amended by Ordinance No. 1454 is
hereby amended by deleting therefrom all provisions authorizing the
establishment of mobile home parks .
2) The City of Redlands shall not accept any application for
Conditional Use Permits for establishment of mobile home parks nor
shall the City of Redlands approve any Conditional Use Permits for
the establishment of mobile home parks, except for applications
for mobile home parks which have previously been filed with the
City of Redlands or have been considered in any hearing by the
Planning Commission or made the subject of a decision by the Plan-
ning Commission before the effective date of this Ordinance.
3) During the period which this interim ordinance is in effect,
the Planning Department, Planning Commission, and City Council are
considering the studying the matter of mobile home parks, with
particular reference to such regulations and controls, including
the number of such parks, and the nature of their use, as may be
necessary to protect the general health, safety, and welfare of
the citizens of the City of Redlands . It is necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety that
this Ordinance take effect immediately, pursuant to the provisions
of Government Code Section 65858, as an urgency ordinance .
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Redlands, California, held on September 21l
1971, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Councilmen DeMirjyn, Knudsen, Sewall, Mayor Cummings
NOES: Councilman Miller
