AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING SECTION
37413 OF THE REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE
SECTION ONE: Ordinance No. 1783 of the City of
Redlands became effective on January 14 , 1982 . It added
Article 374 to the Redlands Ordinance Code , pertaining to
mobilehome park rent stabilization. Section 37413 provides
that Article 374 shall terminate no later than three (3)
years from the effective date of Ordinance No. 1783 , or
January 14 , 1985 . The City Council of the City of Redlands
is examining alternative provisions to improve the effective
administration of mobilehome park rent stabilization within
the City. Until such alternative provisions are further re-
fined to its satisfaction, the City Council finds and deter-
mines that Article 374 of the Redlands Ordinance Code is
necessary for the continued health, safety and welfare of
the residents of the City, and that it should continue to
remain in effect until acceptable alternative provisions
take effect.
SECTION TWO: Section 37413 of the Redlands Ordi-
nance Code is hereby amended to provide as follows :
§37413. TERMINATION. This Article shall con-
tinue in full force and effect until terminated by
subsequent ordinance of the City Council of the City
of Redlands .
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance is an urgency measure
which shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. The
automatic termination of Article 374 of the Redlands Ordinance
Code on January 14 , 1985 , which would leave the City without
any provision for mobilehome park rent stabilization, renders
it necessary to adopt this Ordinance as an urgency measure.
SECTION FOUR: The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Ordinance and cause it , or a summary of it ,
to be published in the Redlands Daily Facts , a newspaper of
general circulation printed and published in this City.
