ORDINANCE NO. 1742
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS IMPLEMENTING THE INITIATIVE
ORDINANCE TO MODERATE. RESIDENTIAL GROWTH ADOPTED BY THE PEOPLE OF
REDLANDS BY ESTABLISHING A POINT RATING SYSTEM AND SETTING FORTH
OTHER .EVALUATION GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES IN RELATION THERE'T'O
ANIS AMENDING ORDINANCES NOS,. 1680 AND 1717
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does ordain as
follows:
SECTION ONE: That Section II, Paint Rating System, Ordinances
Nos;. 1680 and 1717 be amended to read as follows:
SECTION- II W POINT RATING SYSTEM
Each application for a residential development shall be given
a paint rating. A minimum total of 70 points is required The
following categories will be used in the Paint Rating ;System.
Each category is divided into sub-categories for rating purposes.
A. PREREQUISITE FOR POINT RATING EVALUATION.
Project must be in full compliance with the Redlands
General Plan. and all elements as a prerequisite for
evaluation under the Point Rating System and shall
obtain minimum numbers of points ,as set by resolution.

SECTIO TWO: That Paragraph 9 of Section. III , Procedure for
an Allocation of Building permits, Ordinance No. 1680, be amended
to read as follows
9 Depending upon the number of requests and their location,
there may be more than one public hearing.. After evalua-
ting each development and making a final determination of
all point assessments, the. Planning Commission shall
recommend approval of the awarding of project allocations
(dwelling units) to the City Council. The Planning
Commission shall recommend awarding the total request of
any Project based upon those having the highest numerical
values receiving first priority; however, the Planning
Commission shall recommend awarding no more than fifty
(50) dwelling units to any single, residential project.
If a particular project proponent indicates , in advance,
a need for more than fifty (50) dwelling units, the
Planning Commission shall make a recommendation on such
a request, and the applicant shall then proceed to the
City Council for approval of
fifty (50) , all units in excess of
on any application showing a

more than fifty (50) dwelling units, the applicant shall

to implementation of the Initiative, Proposition "R" , and
to carry out, administer, and give effect to provisions
of this ordinance may be adapted her resolution of the City`
Council of the City of Redlands.

SECTION V - FURTHERGUIDELINES AND PROCEDURE (Continued)
2 . All lots created by the subdivision process, whether or
not initially subject to Ordinance No. 1680 and subse-
quent amendments or related ordinances, that are capable
Of being further subdivided under the State Map .Act and
local ordinances existing at the time of subdivision shall
have the final plat map stamped with a note staging that
"Any further subdivision will be subject' to the allocation
Process under the provisions of Ordinance No. 1680 and
subsequent revisions thereto, ”
SECTION FOUR: This ordinance shall ,be in force and take :effect
as Provided by law.
SECTION FIVE: Thie City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Redlands
Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation printed and
published in the City of Redlands.
