An ordinance ordering a general mnicipal election and ftirt�-,-r order-
ing that at such general election a Board of fifteen free holders shell

be elected by the Sualified voters of the City of Redlands, whose duty it
shall be to propose within nay days after such election, a oharter for
said City of Redlands,, under and by virtue of section eight of article
eleven of the constitution of the State of California, .
The Board of Trustees of t�-ie City of Red .ends do ordain as follows :
Section 1. It having been officially disclosed. ascertained,and daterry.in-
e(,, ,that the City of Redlands in the County of San Bernardino, State of
California, is now a City containing a population of more than three
thousand five hundred inhabitants, it is ordered that a Board of fifteen
freeholders who? shall have been at least five years qualified electors of
said City of Redlands, shall be elec',.ed by the qualified voters of said
City at the general municipal election herein and hereby ordered and cal+-
ed to be held in said City of Redlands, on the 14th day of April 1902,
whose duty it shall be to prepare and propose, within ninty days after

such election, a charter for said City of Redlands, under and by virtao
of section 8 of Article Eleven of the constitution of the State of Cal-
ifornia, a
Section 2. It is hereby ordered that a general municipal election be and
the surne is hereby called to be held in the City of Redlands, County of
San Bernardino, state of California, on Monday the 14th day of April, 19021,
for the purpose of filling the following offices of said City, viz :

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and agar after its
