AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF REDLANDS TERMINATING DEVELOPMENT
RESTRICTIONS IN THE SOUTHEAST AREA oo�-,Q cr
WHEREAS, in response to fire flow and water supply
problems which were identified in the southeast area of
Redlands, the City Council of the City of Redlands ( "this
City Council" ) has undertaken the preparation of a general
plan amendment for the southeast Redlands area; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to California Government Code
Section 65858, this City Council adopted as an urgency
measure an interim ordinance establishing development
restrictions and prohibiting land uses which could be in
conflict with the proposed general plan amendment ; and
WHEREAS, the general plan amendment for the
southeast Redlands area provides for land uses and the
implementation of measures addressing and mitigating the
circulation, drainage, sewage disposal, moire flow and water
supply problems previously identified in the southeast area;
and
WHEREAS, this City Council has found and determined
it to be in the best interests of the City to terminate the
development restrictions imposed in the southeast Redlands
area;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES
ORDAIN:
SECTION 1 : The development restrictions imposed by
Ordinance No . 1959 are hereby terminated and Ordinance No .
1959 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2 : This urgency ordinance shall take
effect immediately .
SECTION 3 : The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published once
each week for three successive weeks in the Redlands Daily
Facts , a newspaper of general circulation printed and
published in the City of Redlands .
