HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2108_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2108 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING A LITTER CONTROL FEE WHEREAS, the City Council is empowered under Health and Safety Code Section 5471 to charge for the provision of sanitation collection and control services; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a litter control fee should be established to maintain the neat and clean appearance of the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the rate established herein does not exceed the reasonable cost of providing the services outlined herein; and WHEREAS, this ordinance has been adopted by a two-thirds majority vote of the City Council pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 5471; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain: Section 1. A bi-monthly fee of $.40 for residential and commercial units is hereby established for litter control. Section 2. This ordinance shall be in force and shall take effect as provided for by law. Section 3 . The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City.
