HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2754_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2754 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DLANDS AMENDING CFIAPTER 3.53 OF THE DLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO NONPOTABLE WATER USAGE C14ARGES THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 3.53.020 of the Redlands Municipal Code, entitled "Nonpotable Water Services Rate Schedule,"is hereby amended to read as follows: "3.53.020 Non-Potable water service rate schedule: Amounts of charges are set out in Table 3.53.020 Table 3.53.020 NON-POTABLE WATER SERVICE RATE SCHEDULE BI-MONTHLY RATES NON-POTABLE WATER RATES EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2010. A. NON-POTABLE WATER USAGE CHARGE: $0.99/100 cubic feet. B. NON-POTABLE WATER SERVICE CHARGE: METER SIZE CUSTOMER TOTAL NON-POTABLE WATER SERVICE (INCHES) SERVICE CHARGE COMPONENT 3/4 $4.70 $13.81 1 $4.70 $20.65 1 V2 $4.70 $37.29 2 $4.70 $55.16 3 $4.70 $95.50 4 $4,70 $147.45 6 $4.70 $272.16 8 $4.70 $401.04 L`cc1erk\0Tdinmx=%2754 Non-Potable Water Rate Adjusunent.doe Page 1 C. For the purpose of encouraging conservation of water, there shall be a reduced non- potable water service charge applicable to those water customers of the City who voluntarily undertake the conversion of their plumbing systems in accordance with City standards to accept the delivery of non-potable water. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this section, the water usage charge for such persons shall be$0.64/100 cubic feet." Section 2. This City Council hereby finds and determines that the City's establishment and/or modification of the rates and charges approved by this ordinance is exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 21080(b)(8) and CEQA Guidelines Section 15273, because such rates and charges are necessary for meeting operating expenses of the City. Section 3. The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, and thereafter, this ordinance shall take effect as provided by law.
