AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE TO PERMIT THE
USE OF CONSTRUCTION PARKING METER HOODS
The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby amends Chapter 62
of the Redlands Ordinance Code by adding the following sections:
§ 6235. CONSTRUCTION PARKING METER HOODS. Construction
Parking Meter Hoods shall be issued to contractors and other appli-
cants in accordance with Sections 4402 of Part IX of the Uniform
Building Code adopted in total by City Ordinance No. 1067 .
§ 6235 .1 The Building Division of the Public Works De-
partment shall. issue Construction Meter Hoods at the time- of
issuance of building permits in accordance with the following re-
quirements:
1. No more than the number of parking spaces in
front of the building site.
2 . No more than the number of hoods reasonably
required, for construction to be done.
3 . Each Construction Meter Hood at time of issuance,
shall be tagged to properly identify the express
purpose of the hood.
The tag, shall state:
(a) Contractors name.
(b) Site address of construction .
(c) Date of issuance.
6235.2 Each hood shall require a $5.00 deposit to
be held by the Treasurer ' s Office. Deposits shall be returned
upon receipt of construction heads by the Building Division.
Deposits shall be forfeited if it is determined by the Chief of
Police that the hoods were used contrary to these provisions.
§ 6235..3 Enforcement. The Chief of Police shall be
responsible for the policing of hoods . The hoods shall be
checked to determine if construction materials or construction
equipment occupy same .
§ 5235.4 Fines . Fines shall be levied in accordance
with Section 6244 of Chapter 62 of the Redlands City Ordinance
Code.
6235. 5 Construction Meter Hoods shall be used only
during the time of the actual construction. Meter Hoods re-
serving spaces for materials or construction equipment which
cannot be removed at the termination of the work day, may re-
main on meters during the non-working hours ,
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force,
from and after Its passage as provided by law.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the
Redlands Daily Facts, a daily newspaper hereby designated for
that purpose.
