AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING ORDI-
NANCE NO. 1349, PARKING AND BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1. Section Seven of Ordinance No. 1349 is amended to
read as follows :
`Area Description. A description of the exterior boundaries of
said `Redlands Parking and Business Improvement Area A ' is as follows :
"Beginning at the intersection of the Easterly line of Orange
Street (formerly known as Orange Road) as the same exists on Septem-
ber 13, 1955 with the Southerly line of Central Avenue as the same
was condemned in Case 36900 in Superior Court of the State of Cali-
fornia, in and for the County of San Bernardino; thence Easterly along
said Southerly line of Central Avenue 115. 5 feet more or less to the
Westerly line of the North and South alley as the same exists on Sep-
tember 13, 1955 in Block 10 of the Town Plat of Redlands as recorded
in Book 5 of Maps, Page 10, records of Sar, Bernardino County; thence
Southerly along the Westerly line of said alley to the Northwest cor-
ner of that certain unnumbered lot, as shown in said Block 10 and
adjoining Lot 4 in said Block on the North, said point being North
44. 25 feet from the Northwest corner of said Lot 4; thence Easterly
along the Northerly lines of the two unnumbered lots, adjoining Lots
3 and 4 in said Block 10 on the North, a distance of 80 feet to the
Northeast corner of said unnumbered lot adjoining said Lot 3 on the
North, said point being also in the West line of Lot 2 in said Block
10 and distant North 44. 25 feet thereon from the Northeast corner of
Lot 3 in said Block; thence Northerly along said West line of Lot 2
and its Northerly prolongation thereof to its intersection with said
Southerly line of Central Avenues thence Easterly along said South-
erly line of Central Avenue to its intersection with the West line
of Fifth Street as shown on said Town Plat of Redlands, said West
line of Fifth Street also being the East line of said Block 10; thence
Southerly along said East line of Block 10 to a point 132 feet North-
erly of the Southeast corner of said Block 10, said point being the
Southeast corner of that certain parcel of land conveyed to the
Harris Company, a corporation, by V. C. Kincaid and Ruth Kincaid,
husband and wife, by deed recorded May 15, 1947 in Book 2059 0£ Deeds,
Page 54, records of San Bernardino County; thence Easterly along a
straight line to the Southwest corner of Lot 8 in Block 11 of said
Map; thence Easterly along the Southerly lines of Lots 8, 9, 10, 11,
12, 13 and 14 and the Easterly prolongation thereof to the Southwest
corner of Lot 8 in Block 14 of said map; thence continuing Easterly
along the Southerly lines of Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 of
said Block 14 to the Southeast corner of said Lot 14; thence South-
erly along the Southerly prolongation of the Easterly line of said
Lot 14 and the Easterly line of Lot 1 in said Block to the Southeast

corner of said Lot 1; thence continuing Southerly along the South-
erly prolongation of said Easterly line to the Northeast corner of
Lot 14 in Block 13 as shown on said map; said point being the North-
east corner of said Block; thence continuing Southerly along the
Easterly line of said Block and the Southerly prolongation thereof
to a point in the Southerly line of Citrus Avenue as said Avenue
exists on September 13, 1955; said point being 10 feet Southerly of
the Northerly line of Block B of the Subdivision of Block 28 of
Redlands, as shown by map on file in .3'00k 4, Page 2 of maps, records
of San Bernardino County; thence Westerly on the Southerly line of
Citrus Avenue as above described to a point in the West line of the
East 22.5 feet of Lot 7 in said Block B, being a point in the West
line of the parcel of land conveyed to W. J. Morris and wife by Deed
recorded January 24, 1931 in Book 684 of Official Records, Page 385,
of San Bernardino County; thence Southerly along the West line of
the property so conveyed to Morris to a point in the Southerly line
of said Lot 7, thence Southwesterly along a straight line to a point
in the Northerly line of Lot 16 in said Block B, 195.8 feet Easterly
of the Northwest corner of said Lot; thence Southerly and parallel
with the Westerly line of said lot, 44.3 feet to a point in the
Southeasterly line of said Lot; thence Southwesterly along the South-
easterly line of Lots 16, 17 and 18 in said Block to the most West-
erly corner of Lot 20 therein; thence Southeasterly along the South-
westerly line of said Lot 20, 12 feet; thence Southwesterly and
parallel with the Southeasterly line of Lot 19 in said Block to a
point in the Southwesterly line of said lot; thence Northwesterly
in a straight line to the Southeast corner of Lot 35 in Block A of
said map; thence Westerly along the Southerly line of said Block to
its intersection with the Easterly line of that portion of Fifth
Street which was conveyed to the City of Redlands by Martin F. Pierce
and Blanche Pierce, by deed recorded June 26, 1906 in Book 371, Page
358, records of San Bernardino County; thence Southeasterly along a
straight line to the Northeast corner of that certain parcel of land
in Block C of said map, conveyed to the Redlands West Coast Corpora-
tion by Blanche D. Dague and Jennie L. Dague by Deed recorded Septem-
ber 12, 1941 in Book 1495, Page 440, records of San Bernardino County;
thence Southeasterly and parallel with the Southwesterly line of Lot
6 in said Block to a point which bears 60 feet Northwesterly and 5
feet Northeasterly from the Southwest corner of said Lot 6, said 60
feet being measured along, and said 5 feet being measured at right
angles to, the Southwesterly line of said lot; thence Southwesterly
along a straight line to the most Easterly corner of Lot 10 in said
Block; thence continuing Southwesterly along the Southeasterly line
of said Lot 10 and the Southwesterly prolongation thereof to a point
in the Northeasterly line of Lot 14 in Block D of the Orange Grove
Addition as recorded in Book 4 of Maps, Page 38, records of San
Bernardino County; thence Northwesterly along the Northeasterly line
of said Block D to the most Northerly corner of Lot 17 in said Block
D; thence Southwesterly along the Northwesterly line of said Lot 17
to the most Southerly corner of that certain parcel of land as con-
veyed to the City of Redlands by Parcel No. 1 of Deed recorded on
Ordinance No. 1559

February 7, 1969 in Book 7178 of Deeds, Page 820; thence Northwest-
erly along the Southwesterly line of last said parcel of land to the
beginning of a curve as described in last said Deed; thence North-
westerly in a straight line to a point, said point being the inter-
section of the Southwesterly right-of-way line of Cajon Street with
the North right-of-way line of Vine Street as shown on Record of Sur-
vey recorded in Book 27 of Record of Surveys, Page 26, records of
San Bernardino County; thence Westerly along last said North right-
of-way line to its intersection with the East right-of-way line of
Fourth Street as shown on said Record of Survey; thence Northerly
along last said East right-of-way line to its intersection with the
South right-of-way line of Citrus Avenue as shown: on said Record of
Survey; thence Easterly along last said South right-of- way line to
its intersection, with the Southwesterly line of that certain parcel
of land as conveyed to the City of Redlands as recorded in the year
of 1887 in Book 56 of Deeds, Page 380, records of San Bernardino Coun-
ty and as also shown on said Record of Survey; thence Northwesterly
along the Southwesterly line of last said parcel of land to the North-
west corner thereof; thence Easterly along the North line of last
said parcel of land to the Northeast corner thereof; thence South-
easterly in a straight line to the intersection of the South right-
of-way line of Citrus Avenue (as it .now exists) with the East right-
of-way line of Orange Street (as it now exists) ; thence Northwest-
erly in a straight line to the Southwest corner of Lot 7, Block 9
of Redlands Town Plat as recorded in Book 5 of Maps, Page 10, records
of Sar. Bernardino County; thence Northerly along the West lire of
last said Lot and the Northerly prolongation thereof to the South-
west corner of Lot 8 in last said Block 9; thence Northerly along
the West line of last said Lot 8 to the Northwest corner thereof;
thence Northeasterly in a straight line to the intersection of the
North right-of-way line of State Street (as it now exists) with the
East right-of-way line of Orange Street (as it now exists) ; thence
Northerly along last said East right-of-way lire to the Point of
Beginning.
Section 2. Section Eight, providing for "Businesses Subject
to Additional Tax, " is hereby deleted.
Section. 3e Section Nine, providing for `.Rate of Increase or
Additional Levy of License Tax, " is hereby deleted.
Section 4, This ordinance shall be in force and take effect
as provided by law.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the
Ordinance No. 1559 -

purpose.
