The City Council of the City of Tedlands does ordain as follows:
Section One: That it shall be unlawful for any person, f im.: or
corporation, or agent or employee of the aforesaid, within the City
of Redlands, to sell, offer for sale, distribute or possess for sale
or distribution any milk or cream for human conswaption as milk or
cream unless such mill or cream has been pasteurized in accordance
vrith the procedure set forth in Division IV of the zqZricultural Code
of the State of California, and such other requirements as may here-
after be provided by due process of legislative enactment. Provided
that nothing; contained .;orein shall prevent the sale or delivery of
raw milk or ray.., cream to pasteurization plants for the purpose of
pasteurizing the same.
Section ;my person violatin3 any of the provisions of this
Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon convictio)
thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding, '500-00, or by
ix prisona.zentin 'the City or County Jail for a period of not more than
six months, or by botiz such fine and imprisonment .
Section Three: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect
as provided by law.
Section Four: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the sai_Ze to be published once in tz::e
Redlands Deily ,Facts, a daily newspaper hereby desi`nrat that
purpose .
