AN INTERIM ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
1411 AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1482 TO PROHIBIT PLANNED RESIDEN-
TIAL DEVELOPMENTS
The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as fol-
lows :
SECTION ONE. Ordinance No. 1411 as amended by Ordinance No..
1482 is hereby amended by deleting therefrom all provisions author-
izing Planned Residential Developments .
SECTION TWO. The City of Redlands shall not accept any appli-
cations for establishment of PRD' s nor shall the City of Redlands
approve any applications for the establishment of PRD' s, except
for applications for PRD ' s which have previously been filed with
the City of Redlands and have been considered in any hearing by
the Planning Commission and made the subject of a decision by the
Planning Commission before the effective date of this ordinance.
SECTION THREE. During the period in which this interim ordi-
nance is in effect, the Planning Department, Planning Commission,
and City Council are considering and studying the matter of PRD' s,
with particular reference to such regulations and controls, in-
cluding density within such PRD' s, as may be necessary to protect
the general health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the
City of Redlands . It is necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, health, and safety that this ordinance take
effect immediately, pursuant to the provisions of Government Code
Section 65858, as an urgency ordinance_
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Redlands, California, held on April 3, 1973,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Councilmen DeMirjyn, Miller, Sewall, Mayor Cummings
NOES : None
ABSENT: Councilman Knudsen
