AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING
CHAPTER 19 .12 , POINT RATING SYSTEM, OF THE
CITY OF REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO
SECTION 19 .12 .050 , TRACT DESIGN, ARCHITECTURE, AND
CONSTRUCTION, ITEM E, OPEN SPACE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: Section 19 .12 .050 .E of the Redlands Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read:
E. Open Space (Maximum: 5)
1 . For multiple family and planned residential developments
the following criteria apply:
a . Open Space
1) Amount of common open space meets
minimum standards of zone . . . . . . . . . . . 0
2) Amount of common open space exceeds
minimum standards of zone . . . . . . . . . . . 1 to 2
3 ) Amount of common open space exceeds by
fifty percent or move the minimum standards
of zone . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3
b. Recreation Amenities
1) Private recreation facilities meet
minimum standards of zone . . . . . . . . . . 0
2) Private recreation facilities are
provided beyond minimum legal requirements 1
3) Substantial private recreation
facilities are provided and overall
recreational amenities well exceed mini-
mum legal requirements . . . . . . . . . . . . 2

2 . For single family detached projects the City recog-
nizes that open space is a unique issue and the following
criteria apply:
a . Open Space
1) Fifty percent of the lots in the
project exceed by ten (10) percent the
minimum lot area requirement of the zone 1
2) Fifty percent of the lots in the
project exceed by twenty (20) percent the
minimum requirements of the zone in one of
the following categories: (a) lot area; (b)
front yard; (c) rear yard . . . . . . . . 2

1) Protection of views of an
adjacent development and preservation
of views within the subdivision . . . . . . . 0 to 2
SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall be in force and take
effect as provided by law.
SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall certify to the adop-
tion of this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the
Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation printed
and published in this City.
