That an ams-ndment to the Contract between the City o ___CC_unci1 (Name of of the City of Redlands---- and the Doer of Governing Body) (Name of Public Agency) Administration, California Public Employees' Retirement System is hereby authorized, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A", and by such refer- ence made a part hereof as though herein set out in full . SECTION 2. C .,tqc! -j A -Crf Attest: cting ay City 0C3iitMy*X*Redl s D epu ty City Clerk PERS-ACT-11 (Amend.-Pont) (9/71) EXHIBIT A AMNDMENT TO CONTRACT BETWEEN THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS The Board of Administration Public Employees' Retirement System, hereinafter referred to as Board and the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF REDLANDS, hereinafter re- ferred to as Public Agency, having entered into a contract under date of June 1, 1945, effective July 1, 1945, as amended effective January 11 1953, August 1, 1956, March 1, 1957, January 1, 1960, August 1, 1961, January 1, 1969, August 16, 1969, May 16, 1973, and April 25, 1974, and as provided by Chapters 170 and 316, Statutes of 1971, which provide for participation of Public Agency in said System, Board and Public Agency hereby agree as follows: A. The following sub-paragraph shall be added to Paragraph 5 of said contract: 5 (e) Section 21263 and 21263.1 (providing upon the death of a Miscellaneous or local safety member who has retired for service or disability for the continuation of a post- retirement survivor allowance to certain survivors). B. Paragraphs 6(a) and 6(b) shall be stricken from said Contract and the following paragraphs substituted therefor: 6a. With respect to miscellaneous members, the public agency shall contribute the following percentages of monthly salaries earned as miscellaneous members of said System: (1) 0.084 percent until June 30, 1984 on account of the liability for prior service benefits. (2) 8.80 percent on account of the liability for current service benefits. (3) 0.27 percent until May 31, 1983, to provide the benefits under Section 21222.1 of the Government Code. 6b. With respect to local safety members, the public agency shall contribute the following percentages of monthly salaries earned as local safety members of said System: (1) 0.882 percent until July 1, 1976 on account of liability ! for prior service benefits. Ret. Form 702-1 (2) 14.507 percent on account of the liability for current service benefits. (3) 0.430 percent until May 31, 1983 to provide the benefits under Section 21222.1 of the Government Code. c.
