AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1594 WHICH PROVIDED FOR AND
CREATED A PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION IN AND FOR THE CITY OF
REDLANDS
WHEREAS , on October 19 , 1976 , the City Council of the City of
Redlands adopted Ordinance No. 1594 which provided for and created a
Public Works Commission consisting of five (5) members in and for the
City of Redlands ; and
WHEREAS , it is the intent of the City Council of the City of
Redlands to broaden the representation of the membership of the Public
Works Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does
ordain as follows :
SECTION ONE : That Section Two of Ordinance No. 1594 be amended
to reflect that the Public Works Commission shall consist of seven (7)
members .
SECTION TWO: That the additional two members of the Public
Works Commission be appointed from the City Council from City residents
at large for the following terms :
One member for a term of two (2) years.
One member for a term of three (3) years .
Thereafter, the respective successors shall be appointed by the City
Council from City residents at large for terms of three (3) years .
SECTION THREE: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect
as provided by law.
SECTION FOUR: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Redlands Daily
Facts , a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in this
City.

foregoing ordinance was duly adopted by the City Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of July, 1985 , by the following
vote :
AYES : Councilmembers Johnson, DeMirjyn, Larsen;
Mayor Beswick
NOES : None
