AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 15101 ,
15102, 15103 , AND 15203 AND ADDING NEW
SECTION 15105 TO THE REDLANDS ORDINANCE
CODE TO CONFORM TO THE GENERAL LAWS OF
CALIFORNIA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . Section 15101 of the Redlands Ordinance
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
1115101. CREATION OF FUND. Pursuant to
the provisions of Chapter 717, Statutes
of 1937 , as amended (Deering General Laws
Act 8495a) , a fund is hereby created for
capital outlays, to be known as ' Special
Fund for Capital Outlays. "'
SECTION 2. Section 15102 of the Redlands Ordinance
Code is hereby amended to read as follows :
1115102. USE OF FUND. Such fund shall
remain inviolate for the making of such
capital outlays as the City Council shall
direct to be made from such fund. "
SECTION 3. Section 15143 of the Redlands Ordinance
Code is hereby amended to read as follows.
"15103 . TAX LEVY. The City Council may
include in its annual tax levies, taxes
for the raising of monies for said fund;
provided that , except as authorized by
law, no levies so made shall exceed any
limitation imposed by the general laws of
the State upon the right of the City to
impose taxes . "
SECTION 4 . Article 151 of the Redlands Ordinance
Code is hereby amended by the addition of Section 15105,
which shall read as follows :
'115105 . SCOPE OF CAPITAL OUTLAYS. The
term ' capital outlays ' does not include
the construction, acquisition, extension
of , or addition to utilities other than
utilities for the furnishing of water
supply. For purposes of this section,
the term ' utilities ' does not include
sewage or sanitation facilities or
airports . "
SECTION 5. Section 15203 of the Redlands Ordinance
Code, relating to the Gas Tax Street Improvement Fund, is
hereby amended to read as follows :
"15203 . USE OF FUND. All monies in said
fund shall be expended exclusively for
the purposes authorized by, and subject
to the provisions of, the California
Streets and Highways Code . "
SECTION 6 . This ordinance shall be in force and
take effect as provided by law.

SECTION 7 . The Mayor shall sign this ordinance,
and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
ordinance and cause it or a summary of it to be published
once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general
circulation printed and published in this City.
