An ordinance regulating the sale, delivery or exchange of milk within
the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Redlands do ordain as follows :
Section 1 . Every person who either as owner, principal, employee, agent
or servant , within the City of Redlands, sells or otherwise disposes of,
or offers for salve or aispose:l of, or keeps for sale or distribution for
N food for human beings, watered, adulterated or unwholesome milk, or any
milk in which the specific ravity is less than 1060 at 60* fah. or in
which the amount of solids tess fat4is less than. 9 ,0 thereof, or the
t amount of butter fat is Less than 6 l/2 Xthereof, or the amount of cream

from any cause, in the opinion of the Health officer of said City, for

supplying for said use, or any milk supplied from any cow or cows whose �=h

{ owner or keeper shall fail, neglect or refuse at any time to allow said

Health officer to enter upon the premises where any such cow or cows are
kept and inspect or examine such coir or cows and Lreml-Ses, is guilty of a
misdemeanor,

Section 2. Every person who, either as owner, ,principal, agent , servant:

cent ion 6. Any violation of any provision of section 1«r Y of this ordi-
nance shall be punished by a fine; of not less than Five dollars nor more
than TiftA dollars.

Section 4 . It is hereby made the duty of the said Health officer of
the City of Redlands to inspect , examine or analyze from time to time
or when requested, the milk sold or otherwise disposed of or kept or ofa:.:,
fered for sale or other disposition for food for human beings within
said, City, and the cow or cows supplying such milk and the premises where
any such cow or cows are kept, an report the results thereof with his
suggestions to the Board of Trust es. He shall also k,,cej) a record of all
such inspections examinations and analyses made by him in a suitable and

substantial book to be designated, Record of Milk Inspection, Redlands/..
California, and specify therein in connection with each the date when and
the name of the person from whom any milk examined inspected or analyzed
was secured, and the name of the owner or keeper of the cow or cows and
premises siiplying such milk, and the name of the owner or keeper of any
cow or cows or premises .examined or inspected,, which shall be a piiblic
record of his office open for public inspection.
Section 5. Any person agrieved by any action of the said Health offi-
cer under this Ordinance may within ten:`:'days thereafter appeal to the
Board of Trustees for relief respecting any such action of said officer
by serving notice of such appeal specifying the grounds thereof, upon
said Health officer and filing a copy of said notice with the Clerk of
said Board,
Section 6. All ordinances or parts of ordinances conflicting with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 7 . The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordi-
nance and cause the same to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts
a newspaper printed and published- i n the City of Redlands, and this
Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from- and
after its passage and due publication.
